Remove a child profile in the app

Parents can delete an individual child profile and its associated approvals from KidSafeNest:

Open KidSafeNest and sign in with your Google account.
Go to Parent Dashboard → Manage Profiles.
Select the child profile and tap Remove, then confirm.

This removes that child’s profile from local storage and from Firebase, including associated approved-video links for that profile.

Delete your full KidSafeNest account in the app

Parents can permanently delete their KidSafeNest parent sign-in and all linked cloud data from the Android app:

Open KidSafeNest and sign in with your Google account.
Go to Settings → Legal & Policies → Delete Account.
Review what will be removed, then confirm Delete my account.
Sign in with Google again if prompted to verify your identity.

This removes your Firebase Authentication sign-in and all KidSafeNest data stored under your parent account in Firebase, including every child profile, approved videos, watch limits, and usage reports.

Delete your full KidSafeNest account by email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@vistalytix.com with subject line KidSafeNest account deletion request.

Please include:

The Google account email used to sign in to KidSafeNest
Child profile name(s), if you want specific profiles removed
Whether you want full parent account deletion or selected profile deletion only

We will verify your identity as the account holder before processing the request.

What data is removed

When a child profile is removed in the app, or when we process a full account deletion request:

Child profile data: first name, age group, optional photo or avatar choice, and profile settings.
Parental control data: watch limits, bedtime settings, game mode, and usage limits tied to the profile.
Approved videos: YouTube video approvals associated with the deleted profile(s).
Usage reports: watch history and usage summaries synced for the profile(s).
Device app lock settings: allowed Android app package names stored for a profile, if enabled.
Full account deletion also removes: your Firebase Authentication sign-in for KidSafeNest and all data under your parent account in Firebase (including all child profiles and related records).

What data stays on your device unless you remove it

Locally cached child profiles, preferences, and app settings until you clear storage or uninstall.
Optional child profile photos stored in app-local storage, if uploaded before deletion.
Offline poems, stories, and game progress that do not require cloud sync.

To remove local device data, uninstall KidSafeNest or clear app storage in Android Settings (Settings → Apps → KidSafeNest → Storage → Clear data).

KidSafeTube (TV companion)

KidSafeTube uses the same Google account and child profiles as KidSafeNest. Deleting profiles or your KidSafeNest account removes the data KidSafeTube reads from Firebase. Sign out on TV or uninstall KidSafeTube to clear local TV app data.

Anonymous diagnostic logs retained by Google Firebase or Play services may be subject to Google’s retention policies. We do not sell personal data.
